Ohtani was dropped to fifth in the order — his lowest as a Dodger — for Game 3 of the NLDS.

Shohei Ohtani has struggled offensively this postseason, batting just 2 for 13 (.154) during the Los Angeles Dodgers' NLDS victory over the Atlanta Braves. Despite his slump and dropping as low as fifth in the batting order, the Dodgers advanced to face the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series.
Ohtani admitted he is still managing nagging biceps and knee injuries from the regular season and will not pitch in the NLCS. Manager Dave Roberts noted that Ohtani must improve his plate discipline as Los Angeles pursues a third straight World Series championship.
