Healthy again, Stefanos Tsitsipas, seeded No. 7 in Almaty, believes he can return to the top. He's playing extra tournaments to secure 2027 Grand Slam seeding, anticipating being "hunted" next season.

Stefanos Tsitsipas declared that he is fully healthy and aiming to return to tennis's elite after overcoming persistent physical issues. Currently ranked world No. 43, the Greek player is intentionally adding extra tournaments to his late-season schedule to accumulate points and secure seedings for future Grand Slam tournaments.
Tsitsipas opened his campaign at the Almaty Open with a 7-6 (9), 3-6, 6-3 victory over Aleksandar Kovacevic. He credited his resurgence to coach Thomas Perrin and affirmed his decision to separate his professional tennis coaching from his relationship with his father.
