Celtic manager Martin O'Neill reflected on his return to the club ahead of Wednesday's match against Dundee United, marking roughly one year since taking charge following Brendan Rodgers' resignation. The 74-year-old manager stated that returning to Celtic has rejuvenated him and brought immense personal satisfaction, having initially stepped in as an emergency appointment before guiding the club to a league title and Scottish Cup.
Domestically, Celtic have won 16 of their last 17 league matches across two seasons, giving O'Neill a win rate near 75 percent in his latest spell. Ahead of the midweek fixture, O'Neill also praised young full-back Colby Donovan, who recently signed a new contract extending through 2031 after earning his first senior Scotland call-up.
