Bryce Eldridge put together a promising rookie season for the SF Giants in 2026. Did you know that he actually posted a lower strikeout rate (26.6 percent) than he did in Triple-A (29.9 percent) earlier in the year?

San Francisco Giants rookie Bryce Eldridge recorded a lower strikeout rate in Major League Baseball than he did in Triple-A during the 2026 season. Eldridge struck out at a 26.6 percent rate with the Giants, outperforming his 29.9 percent mark from earlier in the year at Triple-A. Improved discipline and a 54.4 percent chase contact rate helped drive the drop.
Eldridge produced strong offensive numbers during his rookie campaign, slashing .269/.364/.461 with 17 home runs and 57 RBIs across 448 plate appearances. Around the Foghorn notes that despite defensive limitations at first base and designated hitter, the Giants view Eldridge alongside Rafael Devers as a formidable middle-of-the-order core.
