A further setback for Australia and Strikers quick Darcie Brown as she struggles to overcome a disc injury

Australia and Adelaide Strikers fast bowler Darcie Brown has been ruled out of the entire WBBL|12 tournament due to an ongoing back injury. The 23-year-old sustained a disc injury during Australia A's tour of India last month and has failed to recover in time after a period of de-loading, precluding her from playing before the season ends on December 5.
The setback disrupts Brown's push for an international recall ahead of February's T20 Champions Trophy. Meanwhile, the Adelaide Strikers confirmed the re-signing of Zimbabwean-born leg-spinner Anesu Mushangwe for her fourth season, solidifying 13 of their 15 contracted spots.
