It has been three years since Tedesco last donned the Kangaroos colours, which has not deterred him from clinching every accolade rugby league has to offer.
James Tedesco has dismissed suggestions of a personal rivalry with Reece Walsh as he prepares for his Australian Kangaroos return against Fiji at Suncorp Stadium. Tedesco, who last represented Australia in the 2023 Pacific Championships, sat out the Kangaroos' 24-22 victory over New Zealand before Walsh starred at fullback. Tedesco stated he is focused purely on his own preparation rather than competing for position against his younger teammate.
Australia coach Kevin Walters is also set to award a Test debut to Sydney Roosters halfback Sam Walker alongside Tom Dearden. Cameron Munster will reportedly be rested, while Mitchell Moses has been ruled out of the Rugby League World Cup with a leg injury.
