It’s not yet known whether the Welsh club will be allowed to compete next season…

North Wales Crusaders have urged the Rugby Football League to clarify their future as uncertainty remains over whether they can compete in 2027. Led by Jamie Elkaleh, the club posted a statement on social media demanding permission to enter the Championship, asserting they have provided 350% more funds than the governing body requested.
The club survived insolvency earlier in 2026 under new ownership following a 12-point deduction. Plans were announced in August to rebrand as Wales Crusaders and stage matches across North and South Wales, but competition structure decisions remain delayed as the RFL finalizes division formats.
