Liverpool have moved closer to getting a deal done, as we see it. And it's all thanks to some clever work from Andoni Iraola.
Writer Alex Caple argues that Liverpool is moving closer to securing a new contract for young talent Rio Ngumoha. Caple attributes this development to Ngumoha's successful adaptation to playing on the right wing, expanding his versatility and value to the squad ahead of upcoming contract decisions.
While Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward faces several contract dilemmas, including Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker, Caple believes Ngumoha's growing comfort across multiple positions significantly increases the likelihood of a long-term extension beyond his current deal running until 2028.
