Former Rangers striker Ferguson has returned to management as Glentoran's new boss.
Former Rangers striker Duncan Ferguson has been appointed as the new manager of Northern Irish club Glentoran. The 54-year-old manager signed a multi-year contract to take charge of the Irish Premiership side, which last won the league championship in 2009. Ferguson stated his clear ambition to compete for trophies, cups, and the league title, acknowledging the responsibility of the position.
Ferguson replaces Declan Devine, who left the Belfast club in September. Former Dundee United teammate Gary Bollan will join Ferguson as his assistant manager, continuing their prior coaching partnership from Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Ferguson previously managed Forest Green Rovers and Inverness, and he will make his official Glentoran debut against Ballymena United on Saturday.
