With refreshing candor, Louie O’Doherty has admitted he didn’t deserve anything from Saturday’s highly contentious draw with Michael Gomez Jnr in London, England.

Louie O'Doherty has publicly conceded that opponent Michael Gomez Jnr deserved to win their British and Commonwealth lightweight title clash. Following their 12-round bout, official judges scored the contest as a majority draw, with tally cards reading 115-114 for Gomez alongside two scores of 114-114. The disputed decision prompted Gomez to leave the ring in frustration.
After rewatching the bout at home, O'Doherty stated on social media that he believed he won no more than four rounds. Expressing his personal opinion that Gomez won eight rounds to four, O'Doherty gave credit to his opponent while clarifying that he did not believe the ringside scoring involved any cheating.
