Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey was ruled out with a concussion during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. McConkey suffered the head injury after catching a 17-yard pass from quarterback Justin Herbert in the first quarter and hitting his head on the ground. He later walked to the locker room with a towel over his head.
The setback adds to an injury-plagued season for McConkey, who had been playing through a Week 1 rib injury. The Chargers, who also entered the contest without Joe Alt, Derwin James, and Tre Harris, trailed the undefeated Chiefs 19-3 at halftime.
