The Colts are likely going to be aggressive sellers prior to the NFL trade deadline, and the 49ers would be wise to poach one of these three players.

Niner Noise argues that the San Francisco 49ers should target three Indianapolis Colts players via trade ahead of the November deadline following Indianapolis firing general manager Chris Ballard. Writer Peter Panacy identifies defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, offensive guard Quenton Nelson, and wide receiver Josh Downs as ideal targets if the Colts enter a rebuilding phase.
Panacy suggests a permanent trade for Buckner using a mid-round pick could reunite the lineman with his former team. Nelson is proposed as a potential rental upgrade on the offensive line, while Downs is viewed as a valuable addition for both slot depth and punt-return duties.
