The Orlando Magic are trying to build the right habits that will help them win. The season will be defined by what they learn and repeat.

The Orlando Magic are focusing on building winning habits and learning new schemes under head coach Sean Sweeney as they transition from preseason into the 2026-27 NBA regular season. Players including Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs noted that the team spent the summer adapting to Sweeney's new offensive and defensive systems following a 3-1 preseason run.
Orlando is managing several early injuries ahead of their regular season opener. Wagner practiced fully Tuesday and expects to play, while Anthony Black and Jonathan Isaac remain uncertain, and Noah Penda is set to miss the start of the season.
