This past year was one of my best competitive seasons, and it came after I made wholesale changes to my golf bag.

GOLF equipment editor Jack Hirsh credits an extensive multi-manufacturer equipment fitting with fueling his best competitive golf season since high school in 2026. Hirsh lowered his handicap index below 1.0, shot 71 twice in tournament play, made an albatross, and qualified for the Pennsylvania Mid-Amateur.
The most pivotal adjustments included switching to Nippon N.S.Pro Modus3 Tour 120 X shafts paired with Cobra 3DP irons, which helped reduce his left miss. Hirsh also highlighted crucial additions such as a Titleist GT1 hybrid, Titleist Vokey SM11 wedges with an A+ grind, and a Ping Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset putter.
