The NFL Players Association released a statement stating it is unaware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts. According to the union, the league previously indicated it did not plan to review the care the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback received. The NFLPA insisted that a full investigation must occur before conclusions are drawn regarding how the situation was managed.
Hurts was reportedly permitted to travel and play despite the medical staff knowing about a blood clot, an issue that has sidelined him for at least the rest of the season. While reports suggested the NFL found the Eagles' medical staff handled the matter appropriately with no discipline planned, the NFLPA continues to push for a complete factual inquiry.
