Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris has assessed Timur Tutierov's performance after handing the Ukrainian youngster his first Premier League start against Bournemouth…

Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris defended 21-year-old forward Timur Tutierov following the club's 2-0 Premier League defeat against Bournemouth. Making his first Premier League start, Tutierov found himself isolated in attack after teammate Kevin Danso was sent off in the 17th minute, forcing Sunderland to play with ten men for over 75 minutes.
Le Bris praised Tutierov's work rate, noting injuries to Brian Brobbey and Wilson Isidor had limited his attacking options. The head coach also rejected fixture fatigue as an excuse for the defeat despite Sunderland's busy domestic and European schedule.
