FRISCO, Texas — ESPN’s Ben Solak would call the Dallas Cowboys about trading George Pickens if Dallas keeps losing before the Nov. 10 trade deadline, he wrote in his Week 7 column Tuesday.
ESPN analyst Ben Solak proposed that teams like the Kansas City Chiefs or Los Angeles Rams should consider trading for Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. Writing in his Week 7 column, Solak argued that Dallas might consider moving Pickens on his one-year franchise tag if the 2-4 Cowboys continue losing, specifically highlighting Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs as a potential landing spot.
Pickens is currently playing under a fully guaranteed, one-year franchise tag worth $27.298 million after failing to reach a long-term extension before the July 15 deadline. Through six games this season, Pickens has recorded 33 receptions for 428 yards and one touchdown, while the Cowboys recently acquired cornerback Joey Porter Jr. from the Pittsburgh Steelers, adding future salary cap constraints.
