FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys signed safety Juanyeh Thomas to the active roster from the practice squad Tuesday and waived cornerback Caelen Carson, the team announced.
The Dallas Cowboys announced several roster transactions on Tuesday ahead of their Monday night matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Dallas signed safety Juanyeh Thomas from the practice squad to the active roster, waived 2024 fifth-round draft pick cornerback Caelen Carson, and signed quarterback Kyle Trask to the practice squad.
Thomas reached his limit of practice squad elevations after appearing in three games this season, prompting the permanent promotion. Carson became expendable amid cornerback depth following a trade for Joey Porter Jr. and the return of Cobie Durant. Meanwhile, Trask fills the vacancy left when Philadelphia signed quarterback Joe Milton III off Dallas's practice squad.
