DALLAS — Cooper Flagg sees a lot of room for the Dallas Mavericks to improve after a 1-3 preseason, the second-year forward said after practice Tuesday.
Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg stated Tuesday that the team has significant room for improvement following a 1-3 preseason record. Speaking ahead of Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center, Flagg stressed the need to match Houston's physicality and establish an early tone.
Dallas dealt with multiple absences during the preseason, with Santi Aldama and Dereck Lively II sidelined for all four exhibition games under coach Dusty May. The preseason also featured Kyrie Irving's return across two games after recovering from a torn left ACL suffered in March 2025.
