The 19-year-old is missing the World Cup with a hamstring injury.

The Gold Coast Titans have confirmed that 19-year-old forward Cooper Bai will leave the club at the end of the 2027 season. The Titans granted Bai permission to hold early talks before November 1, leading to a secret meeting in Port Moresby with the PNG Chiefs, who view him as a cornerstone forward under head coach Willie Peters.
A reported prospective deal with the Chiefs could see Bai earn $3 million across a four-year contract. Titans coach Josh Hannay acknowledged the departure while highlighting emerging middle forwards, as rival NRL clubs Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters also continue monitoring the lock forward's situation.
