The NFL has concluded that the Philadelphia Eagles appropriately handled clearing quarterback Jalen Hurts to play in Week 5, according to a report from The Athletic. A league source stated that the Eagles will not face any discipline or punishment regarding their medical process or the lack of an injury designation for Hurts prior to the matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
Hurts initially played after being diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in his calf. However, follow-up examinations later revealed the clots had migrated to his lungs, forcing him onto blood thinners and ruling him out for the remainder of the 2026 season.
