McTominay reckons he's close to being back to his best after scoring his first goals since heart surgery.
Napoli and Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay stated he is nearing peak fitness after scoring twice in a 4-3 Champions League victory over Bodo/Glimt. The match marked his first goals since undergoing a surgical procedure to correct irregular heart rhythms.
McTominay previously missed four Nations League matches due to the heart procedure but is set to return to international duty next month. He noted that while he still needs to complete additional physical conditioning, he feels very close to his best level.
