Michael Carrick was not best pleased with what he saw from his Manchester United players…
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick described his team's performance as unacceptable following a 4-1 Champions League defeat away to Como. Carrick stated that he takes 100% responsibility for the loss and offered an apology to the traveling supporters after the match at Stadio Sinigaglia, insisting there were no excuses for the display.
Como secured a four-goal lead through a brace from Nico Paz and goals by Tasos Douvikas and Jacobo Ramon before Joshua Zirkzee scored an injury-time consolation for United. When questioned about board backing, Carrick stressed that the focus remained on digesting the match.
