Jacobs spoke publicly Wednesday for the first time since pleading no contest to charges stemming from a domestic violence incident.

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs expressed remorse on Wednesday following his May arrest, marking his return to practice after serving six games on the commissioner's exempt list. Jacobs pleaded no contest in September to misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal damage to property stemming from an altercation with his then-girlfriend. A judge ordered him to pay a $1,000 fine, attend counseling, and pay restitution.
Jacobs and the victim have both sued the local police department to keep surveillance records sealed. The NFL's personal conduct investigation remains ongoing, though Jacobs' six missed games count toward any eventual suspension. Teammates and head coach Matt LaFleur expressed strong support for the running back, who hopes to make his season debut Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
