The Philadelphia Flyers are reportedly among several NHL teams engaged in trade talks for Detroit Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson. According to DFO Insider's David Pagnotta, trade discussions involving the 23-year-old blueliner have escalated. Edvinsson remains unsigned as a restricted free agent almost a month into the season and has made it clear that he prefers a trade out of Detroit.

While Red Wings interim general manager Shawn Horcoff previously claimed he would not entertain trade offers, Detroit may be shifting its stance as the contract stalemate persists.
