The better Anthony Davis plays, the less pressure will be on AJ Dybantsa.

Jack Simone of Wiz of Awes argues that rookie AJ Dybantsa will greatly benefit from Anthony Davis' strong presence with the Washington Wizards. In his long-delayed debut for the franchise against the Milwaukee Bucks, Davis led Washington to an opening-night victory while Dybantsa watched from the bench with an ankle injury.
The writer notes that Davis recorded 34 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block in the contest. Simone contends that defenses will be forced to heavily focus on Davis and Trae Young, which in turn will reduce defensive pressure on the rookie once he is cleared to play.
