Kevin Phillips has been speaking about Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris.

Former striker Kevin Phillips has backed Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris, arguing the manager has earned the goodwill needed to reverse the team's difficult run of form. Speaking to The Echo, Phillips labeled Le Bris "brilliant" and insisted he deserves time in the role despite the club's struggles.
Sunderland currently sits at the bottom of the Premier League table with four points from seven matches, having suffered five defeats. Phillips noted that balancing European commitments alongside second-season pressures creates a tough challenge following last season's seventh-place finish.
