Inefficient shooting and turnovers marked Wilson's first NBA game, as Chicago showed it has a lot of things to fix.

Chicago Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson faced a difficult NBA regular-season debut as his team suffered a 135-92 blowout loss to the Toronto Raptors. The 20-year-old scored 16 points on 7-of-21 shooting while committing a team-high nine turnovers against Toronto's defense, which featured Scottie Barnes and Kawhi Leonard. Head coach Tiago Splitter's squad struggled throughout the opener, falling behind early after allowing 43 points in the first quarter.
The rebuilding Bulls surrendered 27 total turnovers in the loss, with starters combining for 18 giveaways and shooting just 31 percent. Guard Josh Giddey struggled through an 0-for-8 shooting night while managing a lingering left wrist injury suffered in the preseason. Despite the lopsided defeat and offensive miscues, Wilson expressed optimism postgame, noting he gained valuable experience guarding established All-Stars.
