Chile's women's national rugby team, known as Las Manques, made history on Sunday, October 18, 2026, by hosting their first-ever home Test match. Playing in front of 3,000 spectators at Centro de Alto Rendimiento Parque Mahuida, Chile secured a commanding 39-10 victory over Mexico. The win extended their unbeaten run following their debut Test win against Peru in October 2025.
Francisca Gallardo scored two tries, with Michelle González, Beatriz Arameda, Nahuit Maureira, and Camila Igor also crossing the line, while Catalina Villarroel and Carolina Alfaro contributed nine points from the tee. The victory elevated Chile to 28th in the World Rugby rankings, making them the second-highest-ranked South American women's side ahead of their upcoming clash with Colombia.
