The Montreal Canadiens will have to do without their best player, as captain Nick Suzuki is set to miss time with an upper-body injury.

Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki is set to miss two to four weeks with an upper-body injury after blocking a shot against the San Jose Sharks. The absence marks the first time Suzuki will be out of the Montreal lineup since entering the NHL, ending his 546-game iron-man streak.
Marc Dumont writes that the injury exposes the Canadiens' lack of center depth and tests their ability to remain competitive without their top two-way forward. In practice, Oliver Kapanen was moved to the top line alongside Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky.
