Tonga secured a dominant 36-0 victory over Lebanon at CommBank Stadium on Friday night, maintaining their undefeated World Cup record. Stepping in for the injured Isaiya Katoa, Huddersfield Giants playmaker Tui Lolohea guided Kristian Woolf's side to a seven-try shutout in front of 25,065 spectators.
Sione Katoa and Paul Alamoti scored early tries before Tolu Koula produced a 90-meter intercept try right before halftime. Second-half tries from Jojo Fifita, Leka Halasima, and Katoa sealed the win, setting up a decisive World Cup showdown against Samoa next Sunday.
