Jonathan Gannon welcomes creativity, free-flowing ideas on defense…

The Green Bay Packers' defense is excelling under new coordinator Jonathan Gannon by relying on disguise, deception, and creative input from players. Safety Xavier McKinney and defensive backs Evan Williams and Javon Bullard have collaborated closely with Gannon to introduce innovative pre-snap looks, including McKinney rushing from a three-point stance.
Through six weeks, the strategy has produced an NFL-leading nine interceptions, including three from McKinney. The creative approach has helped Green Bay overcome major defensive injuries to Micah Parsons, Edgerrin Cooper, and Javon Hargrave ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Detroit Lions.
