Purple Row ranked veteran reliever John Brebbia at No. 36 in their 2026 Colorado Rockies season review following a -0.1 rWAR campaign. The 36-year-old right-hander initially signed a minor league deal with Colorado in December before being released in spring training, pitching for Triple-A St. Paul, and eventually re-signing with the Rockies in May.
Brebbia was called up to the Major League roster on June 21 and pitched three scoreless innings across his first two appearances. However, on June 30, he surrendered two home runs against the Miami Marlins, leaving him with a 10.38 ERA over 4.1 innings before being designated for assignment the following day.
