As Minnesota welcomes back veteran blueliners, the promising defenseman hits the wire despite leading the team in several advanced metrics and high-danger scoring chances this season.

The Minnesota Wild placed 24-year-old defenseman Daemon Hunt on waivers on Friday. The transaction reduces Minnesota's roster to seven defensemen following the recent returns of Olli Maatta and Jared Spurgeon, alongside the reassignment of Carson Lambos.
Hunt has appeared in 11 games for the Wild this season without recording a point. If the defenseman clears waivers, he will be reassigned to the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild.
