Anyone familiar with the modern sports media landscape has heard of Barstool. It was founded by Dave Portnoy as a sort of sports enterprise by the fans, for the fans. It’s certainly had plenty of success, but hasn’t done much…

Chicago Bears players targeted Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy following their Thursday Night Football victory over the New England Patriots. Cornerback Kyler Gordon and tight end Colston Loveland sent messages directed at Portnoy, who is an outspoken Patriots fan and a frequent critic of Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.
Writer Erik Lambert strongly criticized Portnoy's ongoing commentary regarding Williams, citing past claims that the quarterback was destined to be a bust and had exaggerated a hamstring injury. Lambert noted that Williams' teammates firmly supported him, and he argued that the victory over Drake Maye and the Patriots delivered fitting payback against the media personality.
