Barcelona fans call for Rashford return to replace £70m flop dubbed “the English Garnacho”

Barcelona supporters have called for Marcus Rashford to return from Manchester United following Anthony Gordon's difficult performance in a 4-2 Champions League defeat against PSG. The Spanish club declined a €30 million buy option after Rashford's 2025-26 loan spell, instead signing Gordon from Newcastle United on a permanent £69.3 million deal through 2031. Fans took to social media to criticize Gordon, with one supporter labeling him the "English Garnacho."

Despite the fan reaction, Gordon has registered two goals and five assists in his first 11 games under Hansi Flick. Barcelona faces Real Madrid in El Clasico on Sunday, while Rashford remains reintegrated into Michael Carrick's Manchester United squad and is currently managing a hip issue ahead of a Premier League match against Bournemouth.
