The Spaniard has made his mind up.
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola reportedly wants defender Ifeanyi Ndukwe to remain on loan at Levante UD for the entirety of the 2026-27 season. According to journalist Eric Martin Gasulla, Iraola prefers the 18-year-old center-back to continue developing in Spain now that he has earned a regular starting role, rather than recalling him in the January transfer window.
Ndukwe joined Liverpool last summer for approximately £1 million but was sent out on loan due to work permit requirements. Writer Zak Anderton argues that keeping the Austrian defender at Levante will provide regular game time, which serves Liverpool better than having him sit on the bench as cover for senior center-backs.
