The Toronto Raptors defeated the Washington Wizards 112-102 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., securing their first 2-0 start to an NBA season since 2019. Scottie Barnes spearheaded the win with a double-double, recording 28 points and 14 rebounds, while RJ Barrett added 23 points and Kawhi Leonard posted 16 points.
Despite holding a 60-52 lead at halftime, Toronto dealt with foul trouble, inconsistent perimeter shooting, and communication lapses that allowed Washington to stay competitive. Barnes briefly exited the game in the fourth quarter with an apparent knee issue but returned to help coach Darko Rajaković's side close out the victory.
