‘One of the best’: Mikel Arteta blown away by 71-touch Arsenal star after 2-0 win vs Everton

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised defender Gabriel Magalhaes as one of the best center-backs in the world following the team's 2-0 Premier League victory over Everton on Saturday. Marking his 200th Premier League appearance, Magalhaes scored Arsenal's second goal with a header from a Ben White cross at Emirates Stadium, following an opening goal by Ezri Konsa.

Arteta highlighted the Brazilian's leadership and dual-box presence after Magalhaes overcame an early second-half knee scare to finish the match with eight clearances and five duels won. The defender is expected to be rested for Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie against Fleetwood Town ahead of next weekend's Premier League fixture against Liverpool.
