A third-quarter flag at Ford Field had the FOX broadcast booth questioning the officials on Sunday. Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt both disagreed with a call that went against the Green Bay Packers in their game with the Detroit Lions…

Broadcaster Tom Brady voiced strong disagreement with multiple officiating calls during the Detroit Lions' 20-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers. The main controversy arose in the third quarter when Green Bay defensive end Brenton Cox Jr. received a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty against Detroit quarterback Jared Goff. Both Brady and rules analyst Dean Blandino criticized the ruling during the FOX broadcast, viewing the contact as accidental after Cox became tangled with center Cade Mays.
Brady additionally questioned fourth-quarter penalties against the Packers, including another roughing the passer infraction and an unnecessary roughness flag. Despite Detroit later turning the ball over on downs during that specific third-quarter drive, the Lions ultimately secured the win on a 22-yard field goal by Jake Bates with one second remaining.
