The Owls sacked Henrik Pedersen on Sunday…

Liam Cooper urged Sheffield Wednesday to "come out swinging" against Cambridge United following the dismissal of manager Henrik Pedersen. Pedersen was sacked on Sunday after a 2-0 defeat to Doncaster Rovers, which marked Wednesday's second straight away loss in four days. Former player and backroom staff member Matt Hamshaw has been placed in charge for Tuesday's match.
Cooper acknowledged player accountability for the recent slump, stating that the squad shared responsibility for Pedersen's departure. Sporting director Simon Wilson cited an absence of a recognizable style and inconsistent results as the primary reasons for making the managerial change.
