Nicky Hayen lasted just 106 days as Burnley boss…

Nicky Hayen's departure after just 106 days officially marks the shortest permanent managerial reign in Burnley history. The Belgian coach was sacked following a 4-1 defeat to Lincoln City, which left the Clarets sitting in the Championship relegation zone. Hayen managed just one win in 12 league matches after taking over in July.
Hayen eclipsed Martin Buchan's 1985 tenure of 110 days, though Buchan still holds the record for the fewest games managed at 13 compared to Hayen's 14. Other brief tenures in club history include Billy Dougall at 215 days, John Benson at 270 days, and Tommy Cavanagh at 272 days.
