Astros interview big name for open executive job as shake-up continues.
The Houston Astros are interviewing former Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo for their open general manager position. Rizzo, who built the Washington Nationals team that won the 2019 World Series against the Astros, has emerged as a candidate for the vacancy in Houston.
The Astros are searching for a new general manager under owner Jim Crane following the departure of former GM Dana Brown in August. Crane had previously promised to conduct the front-office search after the conclusion of the season.
