Virgil van Dijk won't remain a Red forever, and Liverpool are now looking for his replacement.
Liverpool are reportedly preparing to battle Real Madrid to sign Brighton defender Luka Vuskovic as a potential replacement for Virgil van Dijk. The 19-year-old Croatian international has started every Premier League game for Brighton this season and has quickly emerged as a top target for both European giants.
Brighton reportedly value Vuskovic at £100 million, which would represent a world-record fee for a defender. Liverpool monitored the center-back during his previous loan spell at Hamburg, and a permanent transfer at that valuation would mark their fourth nine-figure signing within three years.
