NRL club Parramatta Eels has appointed former St Helens CEO Mike Rush as its new chief executive officer. Writer Martyn Sadler describes the move as a fascinating appointment and a major achievement, noting that Rush is the first Englishman to be appointed CEO of an NRL club. Sadler believes the Eels are seeking to replicate the success Rush achieved during his tenure at St Helens.
Rush expressed pride in taking the role and stated his focus will be on building a Premiership-winning organization across both men's and women's programs. He will begin his duties immediately from his home in England while working through his visa requirements.
