Liverpool have to change their plans. A fantastic talent has verbally agreed a deal and now the Reds must react.
Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has reportedly verbally agreed a deal with Chelsea, forcing Liverpool to alter their transfer recruitment plans. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Chelsea is increasingly confident of completing a permanent transfer in January to replace Enzo Fernandez, with Bournemouth demanding over £100m.
Writer Alex Caple argues that Liverpool must pursue alternative midfield targets rather than compete at that valuation. With Curtis Jones having departed and young talent Trey Nyoni filling in, the writer believes manager Andoni Iraola will require a more experienced midfield signing for key fixtures later in the campaign.
