Andoni Iraola has new ‘undroppable’ player as Liverpool given Premier League reality check

Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has labeled 18-year-old winger Ngumoha as "undroppable" following an impressive display in Liverpool's 4-3 Champions League comeback victory over Villarreal. Ngumoha delivered two assists in that match and has featured in nine of 11 games under manager Andoni Iraola this season. Crouch believes the teenager has emerged as the club's top performer and must start regularly.

While praising Ngumoha's creative impact from the right wing, Crouch downplayed Liverpool's Premier League title chances this campaign. Liverpool sit on 12 points after seven league matches, four points behind third-placed Brighton. Despite doubting a serious title challenge, Crouch pointed to encouraging signs and expects improved form once attackers Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike return.
