Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho has outlined his plans for the upcoming January transfer window to help bolster the club's Championship campaign. Despite an upturn in form, Mousinho confirmed that recruitment preparations began immediately after the summer window and formal discussions with clubs and agents will accelerate by mid-November.
Mousinho noted that Pompey aim to avoid another large turnover of players, having signed seven mid-season recruits in January 2026 including permanent signing Ebou Adams and loan addition Jacob Brown. The manager emphasized that potential squad additions will remain focused on specific needs while remaining reactive to ongoing injury concerns.
