Harry Kane has spoken out on the prospect of receiving a knighthood after winning the Ballon d'Or…

Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane stated he would be honored to accept a knighthood following his Ballon d'Or victory, but insisted he would prefer peers to keep calling him Harry rather than Sir. The 33-year-old became the first English player to claim the award since Michael Owen in 2001, following a 73-goal season alongside a Bundesliga title.
Kane edged out competitors Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal to win the prestigious trophy. Upon his return to Bayern Munich, Kane was welcomed with a guard of honor ahead of a DFB-Pokal match against Magdeburg and announced plans to buy gifts for his club and international teammates.
