Liverpool have got to freshen up their defensive ranks next summer and one player could be secured on a permanent basis…
Ronald Araujo has reportedly been challenged by manager Andoni Iraola to improve his English to enhance his leadership skills and help secure a permanent move to Liverpool. The 27-year-old Uruguayan defender is currently on a season-long loan from Barcelona, which includes an option to buy for approximately £47m.
According to the Liverpool Echo, no contact has been made yet with Araujo's representatives regarding a permanent transfer. However, Iraola's push for the center-back to learn the language suggests an interest in keeping him long term as Liverpool plans for future defensive departures.
